Description

Taragj was your typical Sargeant in the army of darkness. Rude, crude and a lethal assassin. But something never really felt right with him. Despite the powers, the looks and the fans, he felt out of place. He loved his job and served his masters proud but eventually he couldn't deny what he truly was. Though he was physically a creepy creature, he was mentally a cutesy creature. The conflicting thoughts became unbearable in his mind. He would feel a pull in multiple directions and even thought of ending it all to cease the pain.

During a raid on a farm that lay on the outskirts of the dark realm, he saw a cutesy creature that he felt a connection with. To him, that creature he had just murdered was his idea of beauty. Due to the climate of the environment, bodies decompose rather quickly so Taragj stuck his Claymore in between 2 rocks and sliced both of his giant claws off. The agonizing pain brought over a medic who asked what happened. Taragj said that there was no time to explain and he ordered the medic to surgically transplant the hands off the dead cutesy creature. After some hesitation, the medic did as ordered.

When the medic was dismissed, Taragj walked up to his Claymore, big smile on his face and picked it up with his new hands. He said to himself that his transformation will soon be complete. Unphased that all who know him will turn their backs, unphased that some may even try to hunt him down. He can longer deny the truth and sets forth to regain his identity.

Good story - I particularly like how you applied the "creepy vs. cute" Spore specific situation to connect to a more universal societal and personal conflict. And the creation isn't half-bad either. R+
