Description

23:15, Standard Alliance 24-hour time, coordinates: 24 15 167 8901. Just outside Proxima Centauri. A cleanup fleet of 2 Valiant heavy cruisers, 3 Lancer destroyers and 1 Endymion Multirole battleship was sent to investigate the wreck of the Starbreaker.
It seems to have taken a special kind of damage, one that matches the blast signature of the Grox, a race as old as time. There was also plently of Grox ship wreckage too, the Starbreaker having sacrficed itself during the battle of Sol to destroy a generously-sized Grox fleet.
Speaking of Sol, that is where the cleanup fleet headed next. There were supposed to be wreckage of more Grox and allied ships, as the battle did mostly occur there, but it seems that someone had cleaned up the area. Soon after they arrived, the scene was filled with red beams of light and high speed projectiles on a course towards the fleet. The fleet did not turn on its stealth mode, despite fully capable, as they were not expecting some form of resistance. Hundreds of relay satellites and weaponized constructs fired at the fleet, perhaps thinking that THEY were the Grox. The lead ship tried to calm down the situation by hailing some of the constructs, but after a quick scan, it was revealed that they were all unmanned and drone-operated.
An irritated captain Ulrich decided he has had enough, and activated a quantum electron pulse from his ship, the Dauntless, that disabled but did not destroy all of the satellites in an instant. Unfortunately, the pulse had scattered the few remaining debris that was meant for studying, and they could no longer conduct operations.
Just before Ulrich gave the order for the fleet to return, one of the other commanders suggested that he should do a planetary scan of the three planets that had defenses, perhaps intrigued by the possibility of a presence of sentient life. Planet 1, Venus, showed no signs of life or constructs, as all systems were operating in orbit of the lifeless planet.
Planet 3, Mars, showed some interesting information. The same Grox blast marks found on the Starbreaker debris were found on destroyed laboratories and housing units. Skulls and skeletons, clearly of sentient bipedal beings, were found littered across a destroyed complex. Most interestingly, Planet 2, Earth, after a detailed scan and information from Starbreaker's earlier findings has confirmed a system-wide Grox attack. Several strange, large facilities have been detected beneath the surface as well.
One of them seems to have survived the Quantum pulse, but most of its minion satellites did not. The satellites were linked to the facility via a primitive communication system.

Another great ship! I love how this one has a front bumper to ward off all those fender benders when tailgating in space. ;) But seriously, the bit underneath the ship is awesome.

R+! Well done as always!

Also, it is one of the few IGA ships to bear the old Galactic Alliance Space Force emblem

Weapons:
Twin quantum heat beams
Many QLS emplacements (quantum laser system)
One gravitic pulse weapon
One quantum-electric lance
a few point defense cannons
Two (15000 ammo) rocket launch pads which are mixed with the twin heat beams and the sub-engines
