Description
Cofgods, (Gaelic for 'cove gods') also known as House-Gods, are idols carved or created, specifically to be worshiped by an individual household or village. The worship of house-gods is believed to be one of the oldest forms of religious practice, and though these miniscule deities do not have nearly the power or sway of more prominent gods, if they are cared for adequately they will protect a household from foul spirits, fey or ill omens, and might provide a bountiful harvest for smaller, more secluded settlements.
