Description
The link below shows a list of mods that I use for Spore. These mods are very useful and I have come to consider many of them pretty much essential for my Spore experience at this point. Creations created with these mods are completely shareable and functional to people without the mod, with a few exceptions or caveats that I point out in the list. The mods in this list should be findable with some searching on your favourite search engine or looking through some Spore Discord servers.
I?ve also included the file names of the mods I use, just in case it might be relevant or useful to someone. These are the package files I see in the data folder, some might have different named sporemod files, not sure how all that really works.
Some of the information might be wrong, since I?ve gathered these mods over many years and might have forgotten or mixed up some features. My mod set-up might also not be completely up-to-date, so some of their features might be different to the most recent versions. If I learn that something here is false, I?ll see about correcting it. I?ll also update this list if I find and install new useful mods.
If you have questions about these mods you can ask me, but I can only really provide info about my own experiences with them. I know very little about the actual technical side, so you might be better off asking some smarter people about such things.
While technically only some of these mods require the Spore ModAPI Installer to install. I would recommend using it for all mods for the sake of convenience and good practice.
Also, huge thanks to the mod creators for greatly enhancing Spore?s potential for fun and creativity.

Thanks a thousand for making this, I've always been curious if you had some mods that I didn't; turns out you do, most importantly (as you said) the "trick" that removes the intro animation which I strangely didn't know about.

@dragonion0724: While Steam version has historically been difficult to mod, I think these days most mods should work fine? Haven't tried the Steam version in years though, just a notion I've picked up following Discord chats.

this is pretty cool. i have to say that as someone who only works in the vehicle editor these days ive only had to use infinite complexity and extended colors

This is great. Must ask, would you know how much Steam would interfere with a modlist this large?
