Description
The Type-45C Dynamic Support Cruiser, colloquially known as the "Seer", is a variant of the Type-45 DSC fielded by the IDA Dominion Templar division. Focusing on offensive power and stealth attacks, the Type-45C Seer is a rare attack vehicle utilized in all-out fleet battles where the Templars are involved.
Perhaps the rarest of the Type-45 variants, the 45C Seer is designed to sneak behind enemy lines and engage through stealth attacks. It commonly employs flanking maneuvers, but can even weave straight into enemy fleets through the concealment offered by it's amplified psi-cloak. Like most Type-45 variants, the 45C's armaments vary from deployment to deployment, but Templars often favor experimental high-powered energy weapons that are compatible with psionic damage output optimizers. The 45C is also equipped with a short-range warp tool, used to disorient targets. It is prevented from excessively warping ("teleport spamming", as GMC soldiers call it) by the mental load placed on it's operators.
Like it's cousin, the 45B, the Type-45C DSC has seen scarce usage in the Dominion's war against the Galactic Council, but it's appearance has become more and more frequent as the Dominion begins to shift once again towards the offensive. Templar subdivisions are now being allocated to attack operations, and thus the Type-45 models are becoming a semi-common sight on the battlefield; much to the anxiety of the Council.
