Description
Fratercula cirrhata
DIET: fish and marine invertebrates
DISTRIBUTION: Pacific Ocean. Breeding among the Alaskan coast/islands, Canada (coast), and parts of Russia. INFO: The Tufted Puffin is part of the Family of Alcidae which incorporates all auks, which also includes the extinct Great Auk. The Tufted Puffin is among the three species of puffin. One speciesism is located at Alaskan/Russian islands and the other on the Atlantic coast and other nearby landmasses.
This species is known for its glorious golden tufts on the sides of its head and large beak. Males and females look alike, but like usual the male is larger in size than the female. The birds are monogamous and will raise one chick. The Juvenile is duller in coloration and takes a few years to reach sexual maturity. In winter adults are duller in coloration and have a smaller bill.
NOTE: IRL the puffin would have yellow on its bill. More of the beak and feet would be orange. The tufts be a light yellow color.

I had to make this bird in the captain editor to add the Tufted Puffin's glorious yellowed tufts (not so yellow in spore, though.)
