Description
The Jewelled Platyceph are only native to the beaches close to the jewel encrusted cliffs of Radavon. Shortly after hatching, the baby Platyceph make an arduous trek to the cliffs and pick off bits of the crystalline growths and affix them to their shells. The few Platyceph that survive the round trip must then scavenge from the meals of the adults. As they grow, however, so do the crystals on their shells; and as the crystals absorb the minerals from the waters of the Platyceph, they turn a bright blue and glisten even more brightly than the cliffs, themselves. This is when the Jewelled Platyceph are in their prime. The jewels on their shells attract a species of avian which collects the jewels for its nest. When the avians swoop down to pick at the crystals, the Platyceph surge forth, dragging them down to tear them apart. ------------------------------ Original design by: Joolander Modifications by: Angelsilhouette
