Description

As the Firewalkers marched along the cold fronts of the Ice Kingdom, the citizens ran for dear life. Many of them would feel faint as soon as the heat swept over them. The young and old were highly suspectible to the effects. As they would keel over in suffocation, the Firewalkers would surround their prey and deliver one crushing blow. The death toll rose as many of the smaller outposts were annihilated in their sleep due to severed communication with other settlements. Those that survived had to deal with the effects of excess heat that touched their skin and scorched their lungs. Many suffered before inevitably dying. Those who had literally nothing left to their name could only look up and sky and pray to Galstran who, in olden times, was said to have supernaturally created the world to show that a cold climate does not equate to a cold heart. As the bodies kept piling up, and the options limited as the Firewalker army kept growing, many citizens around the planet got on their knees and cried till their eyes bled. The tears could do no more than touch the permafrost briefly before being evaporated into the air. A month after the Firewalkers began their death march, an object could be seen shooting across the sky. It inexplicably showed up and was seen all across the planet within hours of each sighting. Soon after this ship showed up, many citizens noticed the Firewalker's army count had dropped substantially. No one knows what happened to the bodies but Commanders from the Ice Kingdom's Army were able to determine that the Firewalkers that remained were in fear of being 'swept up from the Ice Bird'. The citizens felt that Galstran heard their calls and sent his help and his blessings. They believe their tears became a beacon bright enough for Galstran to see from wherever in the cosmos he nested. Sadly, the dead citizens of the Ice Kingdom could not be revived nor returned.
