?I wish to make matters simple. My name is Praetorian Ras-Shakel, Leader of the Raan-Chi Empire and its people.?
?Can the other delegates please introduce themselves?? The Alliance Grand Admiral asked firmly.
?I am Executor Han-Tu, the Praetorian?s advisor and Head of the Guardian Council.?
?I?m Admiral Tul-Ri, a high-ranked fleet commander.?
?I am Kul-Vi, Head of the Rak-Tien Fleet.?
?That is all. I wish to express my thoughts on your desire for an alliance between our two nations. For one thing, it is quite obvious that an alliance with a nation of your status would greatly benefit our own nation on practically every level. On the other hand, there are some? complications that have had me thinking for a while.?
?And what are those complications, revered Praetorian??
?Our kind have recently recovered from a war and are now allied with a race known as the Ithrai, but others would call them the ?Marauders.?? At the mention of this, Commander Horus sighed uncomfortably, the same look was also on the Grand Admiral?s face.
?You see Ras, we?ve had a complication with them in times past. Just a few months ago, Commander Horus reported to me that he tried to rescue one of your frigates from an attack by aggressive forces known as the ?Marauders?.?
?You mean the Kan-Cho mining ship that instigated the war in the first place?? Executor Han-Tu asked.
?Perhaps. The ship was already overtaken by Marauder forces when we encountered it.? Horus replied.
The Praetorian addressed his primary concerns saying that ?He had worked so hard and put so much effort into forging an alliance with the Ithrai?, that maintaining that alliance would be paramount, a more important priority than even an alliance with a nation such as the IGA.
?I see, Praetorian. Give us some time to think.? Representative Hollen said.
?After our ordeal with the IDF, I would love to see some actual alliance-making for once!? Ulrich proclaimed.
After about 10 minutes of silent discussion, the IGA representatives had come up with a plan.
?Ras-Shakel, how would you prefer our aid?? Commander Horus suggested.
?Aid? That would be unnecessary, but it would greatly increase our technological development rate. But why not a trade alliance??
?You see, a trade route between our nations would cut through Marauder territory.?
?Perhaps if you do not like the word ?aid?, then you would prefer ?assistance? instead??
?Thank you very much! Your contributions to our empire will be remembered for ages. I do not know what kind of gift we could give in return for your help.?
