Description

O, Splinter-scaled and spindle-tongued,
In hearts of men and angels numbed,
O, deepest darkness, dreadful ire,
Fathoms farthest into fire.
Not any worldly force can bend,
the Nameless burning there within,
In icy catacombs of stone,
Awaken Being back to bone.

and fierce the flame and fierce the gaze,
tears in twain the mountain peak,
lights the thunderhead ablaze,
stifles storms with each heartbeat.

O daunting demon, winged woe,
O darkness dreaming down below,

From the fire, from the ice,
death entire would suffice,
an end in which you did not bring,
for him to know of suffering.

O, Splinter-scaled and spindle-tongued,
In hearts of men and angels numbed,
O, deepest darkness, dreadful ire,

sleeps eternal, Beast beguiled,
by tongues infernally defiled,
through the Master draws its breath,
Only to return to death.

and from ashes, weaned on war,
where not a soul has seen before,
Rises old and ancient wrath,
in deepest nether, black and vast,

Rises He and rises fast.
And the Masters named him Olobast.
