Description
Pataven-Arcee-log 001:
We've gathered a specimen from the [dark ecoverse]. Since we have yet to actually be able to use the gate outside of minor probes, we do not know this creature, or its biology. It appears to nearly lack bone, perhaps it has a cartilage skeleton? Although, we do see it has a type of soft tissue, flesh of some kind. Even this rock slate is odd, feels like holding a slate of hardened sugar, weirdly sticky and light. We can't determine the age of this fossil, the material it rests in defies anything of our universe.

I decided to reconstruct the find since I was doing something similar for the fossil I made, so...yeah.
