Description

Forest builder xenophytes from Gagarin-3 initally fared quite well, but the advent of more advanced aquatic forms that could consume whole forests with ease has put a selection pressure on these unique organisms. New Sea Forests are the result.

The maze-like nature of the forests provides a safe haven for many of the squishier body plans around. Capillopods in particular have taken a liking to the environment.

New Sea Forests fill a similar ecological niche as their Gagarin-3 counterparts, albeit more restrictive. Only species specialized for attacking the tougher stems, or those not looking to eat megaphytes make their home here.

This eventually left one clade standing, the very hardy, almost tree-like megaphytes.

As Gagarin-3's organisms were strangers to jaws and other advanced mastication, the forest-building xenophytes fared poorly when Paradise evolved animals with these adaptations to conquer the ocean.
