The biological version of the Hughes H-4 Heracles which is a large flying boat.

This aircraft was designed by Howard Hughes. This aircraft was intended to be a transatlantic flight transport during WWII. It was not completed until after the war ended.
The large aircraft took its first flight on Nov. 2, 1947. The aircraft started to increase in speed as it went across the water. The large flying boat took off from the salty water from below. It was in the air for a brief 25 seconds. The large flying boat landed in the water below. This was the only flight the aircraft ever took.
Only one aircraft was ever made of this type. It is displayed in a large hangar at Evergreen Aviation a Space Museum in Oregon.
