Their crest and prominent nose-patch shield their eyes from dirt and dust flung into the air by their digging. Their tail stores fat, and they boast one of the proportionally strongest biteforces of Elonios's wildlife.

Essentially an Eloniosan badger, these sturdy creatures used their powerfully muscled forearms to dig and rip open rotten logs in their search for food. Generally hunters of small hidden prey, though they are not above scavenging or taking larger victims.
