Description
With their R-13 Racer wearing out from years of racing, to little in the way of success, the Dractorot racing team knew they needed a new design to stay competitive. Instead of designing it completely in-house like the prior R-13, they instead went to sunbike manufacturer Acall for the design and manufacturing of their new racer, the R-14.
Now designated the RA-14, the new design was essentially developed as an enlarged sunbike, with an enclosed cockpit and an especially thin profile. A new custom engine and cooling unit were designed specifically for the vehicle.
The RA-14 Needlefish wound up fast but owing to it's sunbike heritage decently nimble, and put Dractorot back in the competition.
