During the early Second Age, when the Zergular Empire first started colonizing space, they got into a conflict with their stellar neighbors, the Krup Empire. Eventually the conflict was resolved and an alliance was formed, but the event was enough to scare the nations of Zer with the threat of complete annihilation of their species as they continued their colonizing efforts.
To alleviate this fear, the Zergular Empire expanded their colonization project. They sent out multiple colony ships into deep space, some even outside the Finnverse Cluster, in hopes to spread their species far and wide so that if the worst came to pass within their home galaxy, their species could still survive.
Most of the ships that delved into the uncharted darkness were never heard of. Some were confirmed to have settled on distant galaxies, but due to the great distances, communication and travel between them was difficult. The Galaxy-Porters and Hyper Acceleration engines of the time were designed for travel within the Finnverse Cluster, after all.
What happened to these zergular colonists largely remains a mystery. Some may have established their own civilizations, or simply integrated into existing local cultures. Zergulars are known for adapting well to new environments, so the nations of Zer could rest easy knowing their species would likely always carry on in one way or another.
