Description

Here's a beginner's guide to some of my "divine" concepts.

[Might]
An informal name for ultraenergy that stems from worship. Almost all living creatures residing in Miikka64's galaxy are capable of "creating" Might by simply praying, worshiping, and performing rituals for a god of one's choosing. Might is also born from acts that align with a god's philosophy, concept, element, viewpoint, and so on. The amount of might created from these activities varies between a number of factors, such as the quality of the prayer or worship, how fervently the act is performed, the location of the act, the quantity of its repetitions, the experiences and senses attached to the act... The list goes on, as practically even the smallest of acts can produce Might. Might born from prayers and worship, however, is exponentially more powerful than Might created through other means. This is because worship is not only a concentrated form of "acts aligned with a god" but is also an expression of worshipers' admiration, faith, and hopes in the god. When Might is created, it aligns itself with the god, action, or belief system that produced it. The alignment creates a form of affinity between the god and the Might, which makes the former capable of receiving it and other gods incapable of accessing it. For example, Might born from an act of defending oneself will become aligned with the god closest to the ideal of self-defense, which would be in this case Svalinn, the God of Conservation. This Might would now be capable of flowing into Svalinn, and only Svalinn. No other god would be capable of using it unless they were capable of "converting" it into another alignment, which would require first the capability of perceiving ultraenergy, a large amount of effort, and an immense understanding of how Might and its alignment system functions.

Trivia: it is easiest for the followers of Spode to convert Might that aligns with other divinities into Might that aligns with their "one true god," as Spode is the God of Control - as the act of changing something through control can be considered to align with the concept of control itself.

[Disciple/Follower/Zealot]
Believers and worshipers of deities, whose worship and acts provide the gods their Might. In the eyes of the (most) divines, however, they only serve to bring forth worship, which creates Might for them to absorb.

[Prodigy]
When a person devotes their mind and body to one specific concept, element, path, or action, there exists a possibility that they may be noticed/gazed by the divinity whose "domain" matches their aspect/action. Once noticed, the god may mark them as their "Prodigy" and grant them extraordinary abilities that align with their divinity. For example, a Prodigy of the God of Pyro could be granted the ability to create and control fire at a level that surpasses what an average pyromancer would be capable of. Or, a Prodigy of Longevity could be granted a slowed aging process, or maybe a prolonged lifespan. The strength of these abilities and the intensity of their effects differ from Prodigy to Prodigy, and it depends on how powerful the divinity that grants the abilities is, how much said divinity is interested in said Prodigy, and how well-aligned the Prodigy is with the divinity's domain. The number of Prodigies of a single god varies astronomically. Some deities are content with just a single Prodigy, some would rather keep all their Might to themselves and have none, while others can have tens of thousands of Prodigies.

Trivia: There's some debate about whether the entire werusin species could be considered Prodigies of War, as they were uplifted by Weratorn from mere cells, embody the "philosophy of war," and would revert back into cells without Him. However, as ordinary werusins do not differ in strength from regular mortals that much, and there are individuals among them who match the power "expected" of Prodigies, there is no definite answer to this as of yet.

This is an excellent reference material for writing stuff related to your god stuff. The Prodigy system seems like a fun way to make being specially blessed by a god a more defined thing.
