The Anubinky is the Egyptian variety of Binky, which guards the River Nile. These flightly creatures, often decked in all manner of gold and finery, can sometimes be seen splashing around oases, lakes and the sacred waters of their beloved river. It is said that they have been personally blessed by the Sun God Horus; they carry his radiant glow around wherever they prance, wearing the deep royal blue of the sky and sea against their shimmering scales as well. Sightings of them have become increasingly rare, however, as the great river is being diverted, dammed and polluted... Just as the health of their aquatic home deteriorates, so do these creatures suffer and succumb to the whims of the scorching desert, and uncaring mankind.
