The Sunray class of frigate are the main fire support for Assult Class Frigate. The Photon Acceleration Cannon firing a long beam that burns through the armor continuously. However because of its high power consumption, long cool-down time per shot and highly limited in firing angle make it vulnerable to fighter and close-range combat. Some officer developed a strategy to firing in an alternate fashion. Even the fire power is halves but can gurantee fire power when they need.
