TCP has selected Auraa as creator of the week. A creator who is quickly gaining respect for her fantastic fantasylike creations, filled with wonderful details and masterfully colored. We also did a QaA. Here is part of it: 1. What is your favorite editor to work in? My favorite editor would have to be the creature editor. I love that little lump you start with! It reminds me of clay and you get to sculpt your creature whatever way you wish. 2. What is your favorite creation (of your own creations)? Which ever creation I am currently working on is always my most favorite! That being said I do have three favorites Butterfly Fairy, Zwaan and Sirena. They were creations that I had a clear vision of before starting so they came together fluidly without fuss and embody the grace they were meant to have. Cupid on the other had was a cheeky little imp who refused to be created quietly, there was no end to my frustration and by the time he was completed I had over three dozen Cupids saved in varying stages of completion (many with his eyes squeezed shut the little devil!). He's also the only creation I revised after sharing because I was dissatisfied with how he turned out. 3. Where do you get your inspiration from? Most of my inspiration comes from mythology/folklore mainly from ancient cultures such as Greek, Roman and Egyptian. From pin-up artists of the 40's and 50's like Bunny Yeager, Pearl Frush and of course Alberto Vargas. Another artistic influence would be Dr. Seuss, mainly his secret works, two of my creations come directly from his paintings: Freebird from the painting also called "Freebird" and Unicorn from "Every Girl Should Have a Unicorn" (also my tagline). 4. Who are some of your favorite creators? Three names stand out as my favorites not only for their wonderful creations but also for their support of my and many others creations: lazywnch for her elegant use of templates, Bellablim for her quirky humanoids and Need2Win for his riotously hypnotizingly colorful fish. There are also creators who are my favorites for their direct influence on my own creations, I gained many of my humanoid techniques from exinferios, Fotosynthesis, nitwhit, Granite25 and Nethellus. Also naturally all of the Top Creators especially those involved in the TCP and Spore TV their creations are what all creators hope to equal.
