Description

The Othmyx are amphibious creatures, the reason for this is the changing seasons on its home planet. In some periods big parts of the planet are flooded, and to feeds, the Othmyx needs to be able to go in and under water. When the planet is ?dry? it lives near mossy swampy areas, which are found inside the jungles. And when it?s flooded, it lives near in the shallowest parts on the water, where it dives to the bottom to feed.

When it feeds, it does it by filtering and eating the plant materials in water. First it sucks in the water through its front nozzles, then the water is filtered in the tubing that goes around its head, and finally the water and the non-plant material, is sprayed out through the 2 tubes on the back of its head.

Its skin is slimy, and needs to be moist, so it doesn?t like to stay long in the sunlight, and prefers to stay in the shade of the deep jungles. In the flooded season, it is not a problem to be out in the sun though, as it is wet everywhere.
