And, also, for battling, I think there is a different room, although you can battle in the Wifi room, i think you can use items in the far right room in the top part of the poke'center...

Cool, when do you want to trade, and, do you know how to? Basicly, to trade, you go to a Poke'center, then go to the basement, talk to the lady at the middle desk, she will take you to the Wifi room, where you can trade with your friends.(:
