Description
The Chivonti was always an excellent RoRE MBT. It combined firepower with fantastic armour and manouvrability. However, when the Ti-Vodia invaded they brought with them the likes of the Lávitara MBT - armed with twin railguns and hovering several metres above the battlefield. This caught the RoRE completely off-guard; the Ti-Vodia MBTs where simple much more advanced than anything they had seen before. After losing their 600th Chivonti in 2 months, it became clear they would need a new MBT, but that would take a long time and that they didn't have. What the RoRE needed was an easily produced new tank to counter the Ti-Vodia thread in close range whilst the new MBT was in development. Enter the Chivonti II - built of the same basic chassis the Chivonti used but with numerous improvements. It was more compact, making it better for urban combat. It had a better tread system, allowing it to reach higher top speeds than before. It also has a completely new turret with better armour, and it's main cannon was upgraded to 120mm, and was given a better aiming system. However, one of the biggest improvements is one of the most visually insignificant ones - the 'Itrosino' Active Protection System (APS). The APS effectively makes the tank impossible to destroy using Missiles or RPGs - upon detection of the incoming projectile the 'Itrosino' fires a projectile of it's own at the incoming missile, destroying it before it hits the tank. Even with these improvements though, the Chivonti II is still only a temporary solution for the RoRE's problem and the pressure is on to create a perfect MBT to counter the Lávitara directly.

That thing on the back of the turret isn't an optical - it's the Active Defence System that takes out incoming rockets and stuff.

I don't now the iron fist system but do now the arena and shtora active defence systems.

The turret is very good, the opticals are incredible especially the one on the back of the turret.

You're right about the gun though; I didn't really pay much attention to that aspect! To be honest though both should really be a higher calibre (150mm?) as they look a bit big for 120mm....
