Description

Well, it's been two years now. Over that period I have amassed two thousand comments, one hundred and eleven subscribers, and lots of fun times. I can only just recall that fateful day when I went into a GAME store, convinced by my friends that I should buy Spore. I had previously played a bit of it on a pirated copy of the game, and had found it pretty fun. So I spent $90 on the game and it made all the difference. I made an account, "Oogliokancktid", but I never really expected to do much with it. Over time, my friends left Spore, but I struggled on. Then, I got my first comment from a user named Tutthoth. The feeling I got when I saw that I had an unapproved comment, in those glorious orange letters, was unmatched by anything I would ever experience in Spore again. Slowly, more users commented on my creations. I joined the Sporums and a critique club created by the long-gone user "deadlineclick", and I got my first blue faced creation. A month or two later, I got my first green face. For the next four or five months, I had a lot of fun with the members of DLC's club, but eventually it died, and so did I for a while. About 6 months later, I returned to Spore to discover that everything had changed. Everyone was talking about downrating, impersonations and bullying. I thought Spore had died, but I was very wrong. I found some great new subscribers and subscribees, and made the MPN for the first time. Since then, I think the community has eased a bit. Creators long believed finished with the game have come back and I, for one, have had fun. So, after this rant, I would just like to thank everyone for keeping me entertained for the past 730 days, and letting me play what I will always consider to be the greatest game of all time.
