These armored spice barges retrieve the buoyant spice pods from the oceanic mining platforms that harvest the raw spice and transport them back to the docks at the colony for processing. Twin long range carbine needle cannons provide defense for the barges from attack, and their high displacement design makes them extremely difficult to sink even if an attacker can get a shot in.
