Description
When Dr. Theodore Daring stumbled across the remains of an ancient civilization, he was astonished to come across this alien knowledge database, a find that was beyond any value that could be assigned. Choosing to keep this as a secret between his adopted sister and himself, Sally and Dr. Theodore have used the information chiefly for the good of others as they gallivant across the galaxy seeking out those who need help.
The alien knowledge database, usually referred to simply as K-D, is capable of several forms of knowledge sharing, the most effective of which is a fully immersive experience. In this mode, the user sits on the stool while the hood descends upon the knowledge-seeker. The user then plunges into a virtual environment that makes use of all their senses, appealing to any and every modality of learning.
Users are also able to interact with K-D using a single or limited number of senses such as hearing or sight or smell. With proper equipment, it is possible to access K-D remotely in one of these limited capacities.
