are you using windows 7? If so, I know how to fix the folders as it isn't that easy to find ;D It drove me crazy 3 days, 2 reinstalls, until I found out what went wrong...

and you have to boot first core spore before installing CaC and let it upload all your buddies, then go on with the rest, copy all your old folders, and it should be done. I hope you had your old game folders saved before your comp crashed...

I know when I reinstalled the game after my windows upgrade, I had to install in the proper order to get it back as before. Means: Core spore, patch 1, 2, C a C, patch 3, 4, GA, patch 1.5 and 1.5.1

ugh, origin, means you have a key? I don't know if origin only installs the latest patch. If so, it is probably the reason you get the error message.

downloading all creations again takes HOURS, I can tell. So if your comp still loads, just don't wonder. You can close the game and restart the progress anytime. I did the downloading in 2 days....ugh.
