Her tattoo has powers of corruption, and posession. Once the tatoo lights up blood red, she turns completely black, with bleeding void eyes. This is her normal.

[Also, the tattoo was a clan thing. Leiana is no longer in the clan, because of the Skel attack, thinking that it caused bad luck to her to make her look like this, so the abandoned her.
