You can also make a raster before you start. Every creature has it's own geometry and maybe just try to paint one leg and start with the hoof. It gets easier with practice!

:D thanks for the comment! Yes horse legs are really difficult, especially in the creature editor. They really move wrong there. I've worked with horses many years and the best way to draw horse legs is to start at the bottom, at least I do.
