The closest thing I have for proof compared to my gut feeling is that on the profile of a Spore administrator, it said his occupation was "Spore 2 graphics administrator" or something of that kind.

Same here, Blacki. ;_; I miss the old days of this wonderful game as much as any other veteran of Spore. But I really think Maxis, or EA, is making a Spore 2.
