Roaring and bouncing across the landscape on their low-pressure 84 inch balloon tires, these distinctive all-terrain buggies form the backbone of the Yellow Jackets' land navy.

These vehicles are a combination of car, tractor, and boat parts that were salvaged from factories the Jackets' sacked in their initial raids. The cab, frame, and suspension are taken from a factory that once built DIY hot-rod kits. The long shock/spring units are actually made of 4 shocks and springs stacked together in sliding tubes to give lots of articulation. The engine is a marine model originally intended for use in small, high-speed torpedo boats. It cannot generate full 'marine power' due to air's relatively weak cooling compared to water. The tires and axles were originally for large farm tractors, and feature deep gear reduction. The giant fenders are made from hull sections of the aforementioned torpedo boats.

Despite their ungainly appearance, these buggies are very agile, capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in about 6 seconds. The giant tires and long-travel suspension allow this sort of speed over incredibly rough ground. The tires are so big, they can even be used to float the buggy a short distance over calm water if necessary. The vehicle's minimal armor makes it unsuitable for direct engagement. Instead, these buggies conduct highly effective skirmish warfare, making the best use of their high mobility and speed to flank and wear down enemies. The tires have kevlar belts in their sidewalls, and so resist ammunition smaller than .50 caliber rounds. Larger rounds can and often do deflate the tires, so the buggies carry a good supply of spare tire tubes.

The dual anti-aircraft gun mounted in the bed is very accurate, and effective against personnel, aircraft, and medium armored targets. They are magazine-fed, which is not useful for long sustained fire, but is conducive to swapping ammo types for different targets. The gunner needs to be wearing body armor, as the vehicle bed offers little cover from enemy fire.

Thank you =] The most recent episode of House of Lies was a trip to Havana, so I got my inspiration from all the 50s-60s style cars.
