Description
"I have no mouth
and I must scream.
It's taken it away from me,
along with everything else of mine
that was human.
Now, there is nothing left
except a mind with thoughts
and feelings I can't express,
a heart that forever
bleeds in pain,
and eyes that can
only cry.
I want so much to die
a merciful death with dignity
and compassion,
to be free from it's grip
once and for all.
But I know it will
never give it to me.
For without my silent agony,
it would never exist."

if you've played ufo defense, you'd understand how terrifying and unsettling chryssalids are, they had a habit of showing up on missions where civilians were present and if you couldn't find and kill them fast you'd have to face like 15 more chryssalids
