Description

?Hostile aliens will be exterminated.? ? Grox. Many know of the Grox, yet they know nothing about them at all. They are strongest empire in the Spode Galaxy, controlling 42,000,000 star systems all situated near the galactic core. They are aggressive, misunderstood, and shunned. Many people think the Grox are completely like no other race, at least in the Spode Galaxy. This is false. Many species have evolved on T0 planets, the Grox are just the most prominent. Cyborg implantments are nothing unique, but the Grox were one of the first to introduce it in their galaxy. What makes them set aside from simple mortals is that they were Chosen Ones. Omni-cycles ago, the Staff of Life was residing in the galactic core. Of course, many mortals attempted to use it for their own gain (how they found out is still unknown), as well as some higher powers. The Order could not keep rushing to the Spode Galaxy to defend it, so they took the most loyal and aggressive of mortal races in the galaxy and put them on guard duty. It was done in a way no one could ever find out, but soon their reputation of guardians against the unworthy was changed to evil aggressors imprisoning the Staff. Though sometimes there were flaws (i.e. Steve), so the Grox have hardened and improved their defense system. These mortals were the best option in the Spode Galaxy for such a sacred task. Their aggression meant they wouldn?t let invaders get off so easily. If you attempt to break through, the Grox would not only kill you but go after and sterilize the entire threat. Looks are also deceiving with them. Countless believe Grox organic were weak and so that?s why they developed cybernetics. This is only partially true. For really a species who?s evolved in the harshest conditions (T0 planets) will come out stronger then a species pampered by sun and light. Their skin is like hardened leather, being able to resist bullets to a degree. It is also the running joke that Grox are impish and short, no more then about three feet. Again, completely false. Comm-links and Grox at a distance give off the appearance that their stocky. The Grox in truth are about eight-feet tall. Grox took a similar path that many took/are taking. Over time they became more and more militaristic, and what started as a way to fight sickness soon turned to depending on their cybernetics completely. They not only adorned more mechanical parts, they became more machine. Cyborg Grox eliminated emotions, sex, class, color, and creed. They became identical. All Grox now are clones taken from cells of the previous generation. But when they come out, they enter the world as fully organic infants. They are allowed to grow until they reach an age where they are outfitted with cybernetics. Their method for doing this can be seen as twisted, but in truth, everyone, even Humans, always do this. Propaganda. They give the newly born Grox an ear-piece that sends subconscious messages saying that these cybernetic implants are the best and greatest upgrade. It?s similar to how Humans watch TV and commercials of products come on, or posters, etc. The organic Grox are then gathered and willing give themselves to the painful procedure of mass-producing emotionless, cyborg Grox. As said, they?re extremely military-like. Each Grox is instantly downloaded with military history and strategy. Their main weapons are their mechanical parts. For example, in each mechanical arm are in-built weaponry like electrical discharges that can emit from their hand to kill up close. Others are cameras, shield generators, servo-links, and others. Now, as the universal wars wage on, the Grox now feel they must expand even more and conquer not only the galaxy, but make themselves heard in the entire universe.

I believe the actuall number of star systems owned by the Grox is 2,400. There were also just a few things I found wrong with your story but good job. It was good for the most part.

Nice, realistic idea of the Grox's lifestyle. You might think about making some sort of adventure in the sense of 'Life as a Grox'. I'd help if nessecary.
