Description

The Protoss machine known as the Hailfire is similar to the towering Colossus in which both were designed for the intended purpose of devastation. The Hailfire was created by the Dark Templar, a war machine they used to fend off invasions on Shakuras (though the machine was a bit of overkill to lesser species). Their heavily armored hull was adorned with a rack of Anti-Matter Winder Missiles. A Hailfire can target a dozen different enemy units at once and lock individual warheads on them. Similar to the Reaver and Obliterator, the Hailfire sports within its design a micro-manufacturing facility that creates its Anti-Matter Winder Missiles, though it requires no additional cost to create its weapons. One missile is enough to decimate most foes, though this war machine doesn?t fire just one, but a whole barrage during a single attack run. This results in a spectacular but bloody sight of a multitude of explosions that is more than enough to slaughter battalions of enemies. Because of this, it was lawed that Hailfire numbers be kept low, only a dozen or so built on Skakuras. Although overkill to lesser species, the Hailfire truly shines against the Zerg swarms. The Broods rely on mass numbers to overwhelm their foes, but the Hailfire?s barrage of missiles can wipe out such terrifying numbers. This was first exhibited when invading Zerg attacked a Dark Templar robotics facility. The Hailfires were accidentally activated from the invasion, and the droids utterly annihilated the seemingly endless waves of Zerg. Thus, these machines have begun being produced in mass, the desperation of the war forcing the Protoss to unleash ever more powerful forces in the battlefield (and believe me, the Hailfire is not the worst to come). Hailfires negate the Zerg?s advantage of swarming, as well as prove efficient at destroying Terran vehicles and infantry. These machines are both ideal anti-armor and anti-infantry weapons, though its allies best be very careful lest they end up on the Hailfire?s collateral damage kill records. =============== Requires: Null Circuit === Warp-In From: Robotics Bay === Cost: 300min/100gas === Psi: 4 === Movement Speed: Normal === Armor: 1 === Shields: 200 === Life: 200 === Weapons: Anti-Matter Winder Missiles === Damage: 10 (+10 vs. Armored) (each) ? Targets: Ground a Air (fires four or eight missiles during a single attack run) (does splash damage) (each missile can target a different unit; favors ground over air though can hit both at once; if there are fewer foes it will lock multiple missiles on strongest unit) === Attack Speed: Fast during attack run (fires a missile every half second) (missiles will curve through the air instead of going straight forward as they make their way toward the target, giving the enemy time to micro away)/Slow cooldown (after firing its four or eight missiles it has a 3 second cooldown before it fire its barrage again) === Upgrades: Protoss Ground Weapons, Protoss Ground Armor, Protoss Plasma Shields, Additional Missile Racks (doubles the amount of missiles a Hailfire can launch, making it able to fire eight individual warheads instead of four) === Abilities: Missile Rack (can fire multiple missiles during a single attack run) === Type: Armored-Mechanical ============== Strengths: Very good at dealing with infantry and/or armored units, missiles can target separate units within its radius, ideal for killing masses of clumped up forces === Weaknesses: Does splash damage to friendly air and ground units, if enemies get next to it the Hailfire will damage itself when it attacks, missiles twist through air so there is a small window that the enemy can micro away before it hits

Nice, I can clearly imagine this moving around, almost spider-like, despite it's collosal size.

It's like Spore kinda. It's really fun, and easy to understand. It's also like a gorier version of galactic adventures. You kill an enemy and they explode into blood or oil depending on if they were robots or not. The story is also good, and the boss fight

Btw, this was an excellent creation. I love the...guns on the back, coloring, and insectoid design.
