Rucker Mausoleum in Everett, Washington, is the final resting place of Margaret Rucker, a poet who would have been lost to history had a scrapbook detailing her tragic life not been found in a San Francisco dumpster by a man named Chicken John. Margaret's life resonated with Chicken, and he shared the poet's story with just about anyone who would listen. This is how Margaret's story came to musician Jason Webley, a personal friend of Chicken John who, coincidentally, is himself from Everett. Jason, too, was moved by Margaret's story, and while researching what little information remained of her was inspired to record an album based on the poet's life. The result, a collaboration featuring eight different artists and an 88-page book featuring what remains of the scrapbook and writings by Jason and Chicken John, was released in 2014.
