Description
An odd biological-jet-like creature that has the lifestyle of filter-feeding, but can hunt smaller creatures also. Its long wings and its powerful bio jets allow it to fly for a long time. It rarely touches the ground below, though it can roost on cliffs and trees of its native planet. They use a claw on each front and hind wing to let it grasp the surface to roost.
This species has both males and females in which will mate for life. They will fly with each other across the face of the planet. Every 3 cycles they will perform their courtship flights to strengthen their bond and prepare for the breeding season. The system of reproduction occurs in the air, but can occurs even when roosting,
The female will give birth to 1-2 pups in a pouch and she will carry them. The young will get their milk from the mother. They will remain in the pouch for a cycle. They will fly with their parents for about a cycle and a half. When big enough they will leave their parents and join a group of younger Teliases. The female reaches sexual maturity at the age of 8 and the male at 9.
