Description
The Mer are gentle and kind members of the Labyrinth endowed with magical powers over water. The males of the species are extremely brave and despite their pacifist way of life are very adequate warriors. They are able, as well as the females, to command the waters to perform illusions to outsmart their opponents. However, only the females are able to give the gift of healing. A female Mer is capable of healing many common non-fatal wounds and diseases with her water magic. Mer-folk are naturally aligned with all "good" sea creatures. The Mer have even made friends among some land creaures such as the pixies and the capricious sylph. They are able to go on land adventures by using their seahorses as steeds. While the Mer are friends to all, there are those in the Labyrinth that find their beauty and gentle ways repulsive, such as the ogres and the chimeras. They are the enemies of the Mer
