Description
Picture a ship at anchor with a rope ladder with half meter rungs hanging over the side. The tide rises a half meter per hour. At the end of five hours, how much of the ladder will remain above water assuming that nine rungs were above the water to start.

Many of you were not fooled by the wording of this puzzle. There would be 9 rungs above the water since the boat will rise with the tide.

My guess is all of 'em will be above water, since the anchor of a ship is usually at the front, so the back with the ropeladder will continue to float

Nice ship, but the answer is the same, as it goes up the tide will also come back down in 5 hours.
