Description

Chule are native creatures of Denebren 6 that inhabit the countless swamps and marshes of its diverse ecosystem. Lumbering and large, they are terrifying when encountered in the wild. Possessing large, emotionless eyes, they are able to see through the murkiest and dankest of waters. They feed by two means: they are able to strain the brackish waters for nutrients with long feeding tendrils and they are true carnivores as well, able to rip apart and devour many different types of prey. Their long hand appendages are strong and give them vice-like grips to rip both trees or plants and animals apart. They seem to have adapted to both aquatic and surface existence. The large organ that comprises the majority of the mass on their backs serves two purposes, first to store swamp water and second to store liquid fat deposits. This seems to allow the Chule to travel great distances away from the comfort and safety of the swamps and marshes without the need to eat or drink for sometimes days at a time. While not typically aggressive, Chule have been known to protect and defend their nesting territory with frightening displays of behavior and eerie banshee-like screams. It?s also advised to circumvent the Chule during the mid-cycle hot season as this is also their breeding season and they become easily agitated and often resort to violence and deadly attacks.
