Description

Upon the discovery of advance life on the fourth planet in Sector Sagittarius 4-E (the planet has yet been officially named but is now commonly refer to as Sagittarius 4) fifteen years ago, the astrobiology community had immediately take interest in the observation and research of the Mow?pon species. This species was first observed inhabiting on the southern continent?s vast grassland biome now commonly referred to as the "Black Savannah" (the fuzzy grass-like vegetation that covered this region literally have a dark brown to black coloration). As with most advance animal life on Sagittarius 4, the Mow?pons are theorized to be descendants of a common arthropodan ancestor. Standing at 7 feet tall, these carnivores? height enables them to spot preys and dangers from afar among the tall vegetations. A pack of Mow?pon normally consists of 20 to 38 individuals, with 6 to 10 males doing most of the hunting. Sharp claws and powerful mandibular-jaws enable the hunters to swiftly immobilize the many large quadruped isopod-like animals that regularly make up the Mow?pons? diet. At times, hunters will also give a powerful kick to a prey?s underside, tearing the softer abdomen area apart with the jagged talons. In essence the Mow?pons? defense comes in their social bond and group communication, but bulbous armors are evolved along the abdomen and head to protect these softer areas. When cornered by larger predators, individual Mow?pons were further observed to spray a mist of foul smelling and slightly toxic chemical from two glands on the side of the abdomen to confuse their assailant. Recent expedition and research showed that the Mow?pons' range stretch far wider geographically than previously observed. A group of 68 Mow?pons were recently detected residing in the marshy northern coastal region adjacent to the "Black Savannah" and observed making primitive tools that function as fishing spear. Furthermore, other recent research further suggested that some populations of Mow?pons are already displaying primitive tribal behaviors and showing signs of abstract cognitive level (GrendHerk et al, 2346). Regardless of the amount and extent of the new discoveries, it is a consensus in the scientific community that among all animal life of Sagittarius 4, the Mow?pon is showing the most promising sign of reaching sentience. Oh, and also cause one tag is Xenobiology, u should make Sagittarius 4-E, and make it a Xenoplanet, then we could know even MORE than what your hugely long description says!
