Description
Unusually, the star system called Surya by the Uru cartographers is home to two sapient species, the Hafn and the Horz. These peoples share a common origin, however.
Aeons ago, when the civilization of the forebears of the Hafn waxed mighty, they devised a great spiritual engine, which they called Fnathn: a carillon of monstrous size that when rung would bring perfect harmony to their crystalline forms. The Prime Gong of Fnathn was only struck once, however, for the sound which issued forth from it was not harmony but dischord, shattering their crystal brains and splintering the consciousness of their people into madness?
