Heute vor 24 Jahren führten schwere Bedienungsfehler im sowjetischen Kernkraftwerk Tschernobyl zu einer Dampfexplosion im Reaktor, die diesen komplett zerstörte. Große Teile vom Inhalt des Reaktors haben sich über halb Europa verteilt und werden noch einige tausend Jahre weiter strahlen. / 24 years ago today, a series of massive handling errors caused a steam explosion in the 4th reactor block of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukrainian SSR completely destroying the reactor. A part of its content got spread over big parts of Europe and it will take several 1000 years until it ceases to radiate.
