I found the Silverfish. I know those creatures. I used to work in a archive and those are a real pest. I'll start working on it tonight, should be ready to hatch tomorrow.

(Second) I'm running GA and not core Spore, not sure if that really matters, but it could.

As far as I can see there could only be two things wrong. First, your using windows 8 (?) that could be the problem.

I just checked and it's the same that can be found on Sporebase. Not sure why Spore would freeze.
