?I was a rig jockey for the Expansionary Division aboard the Ark Royal, the colony ship shot down over Landfall. We were shaken up something fierce by the crash and a lot of us were just outright killed on impact. Even worse, the Grox that had shot us down were already trying to cut through the ship?s hull to finish the job. Thankfully the motor pool and hangar had sustained minor damage and I could still walk. Me and some other workers fired up the rigs and any other vehicles we could in sort of a defiant last stand. My great grandfather died fighting the Grox back home and if I had to, I?d do the same here. Working on the job sometimes I?d pretend to be stomping around in the mech causing hell so it was kind of a dream come true to actually be doing it. You should?ve seen the look on their faces when my mag claws tore through the hull and grabbed one of their commanders. We were relieved the IDF didn?t leave us behind though, we weren?t soldiers after all. We saw some messed up stuff. Genetic abominations, some sort of technology devouring plague, blood, gore?.I still have a hard time sleeping.?

The UT-45 Utility Rig is the standard version utility rig in use by the IDF and GCE for a myriad of ?house-keeping?, construction, and overall civilian use. These massive mechs stand just shy of 60ft and possess medium grade armor to allow them to move quickly and easily to do their job as efficiently as possible while still keeping the user safe in a hazardous work environment. This version does not possess any form of AI or neural link systems and requires a pilot to operate. To allow them to complete any job they are assigned, the arms of these suits are modular and may be upgraded to wield carbide drills, saws, torches, boltguns, and most commonly, mag-claws for environmental manipulation.
